Vicky Shick, Barbara Kilpatrick and Elise Kermani have been making work collaboratively since 2001 in New York City and abroad. Together they have created seven evening length performances, integrating choreography, costume/set installations and sonic/sound design from the onset of creation. Although abstract in nature, theirs is a visual and aural language that weaves together narrative fragments steeped in a history of shared vocabulary and bound by an attention to detail and craft.

In addition to Danspace Project, Shick, Kilpatrick and Kermani have shown work at The Art Center of the Capital Region (in Troy, New York); Dance Theater Workshop (now known as New York Live Arts); The Kitchen; The Trafo Theatre in Budapest, Hungary; and the Project Art Centre as part of the Dublin Dance Festival in Dublin, Ireland. In 2003 they received a “Bessie” (New York Performance Award) for Undoing at Dance Theater Workshop. Shick, Kilpatrick and Kermani’s Everything You See  was nominated for a “Bessie” in the category “Outstanding Production for 2013” and the trio was awarded a MAP Fund in 2004 for their work Repair.
