Yulya Dukhovny is a Los Angeles based artist and musician. She creates and performs miniature multidisciplinary performances where contemporary and traditional toy theater medium is the main focus. Her work (represented under the name "Microscope Toy Theater") have been introduced at numerous venues including International Festivals of Paper Toy Theater in Germany, France, Mexico and Russia as well as at the "Great Small Works" Toy Theater Festival in New York , "On Edge" Festival in Santa Barbara, National Puppetry Festival at the University of Connecticut, Detroit Institute of the Arts, . 2013 2015 Dukhovny produced and directed two repertoire shows as a resident artist at the Meyerhold Theater in Moscow.
Dukhovny previously has engaged extensively in opera as an assistant director and a stage director, including work for more than 30 European and US productions such as "The Tristan Project" of Peter Sellars and Bill Viola, "Pagliacci" with Franco Zeffirelli, various productions with David Pountney, Jean Claude Auvrey, Giancarlo Del Monaco, Hugo De Ana.She has led “Opera Studio” programs and taught Model Theater workshops at the New Israeli Opera.
